The Stunt Puppy Float Doggy is an ergonomic lifejacket for your dog that provides support in all the right places. The lifejacket slips over the dog’s head, leaving the front and forelegs well supported and floating. With this lifejacket, the front comes ergonomically around the dog’s neck and does not hinder the movement of the front legs in the water.
The Stunt Puppy Float Doggy uses patented structural design and materials to provide a safe, ergonomic and comfortable fit with balanced buoyancy. The company has collaborated with experts in buoyancy, canine anatomy and biomechanics to build the Float Doggy.
Measurement instructions:
A good fit looks like this…
Running out of jacket…
We don’t want the jacket to extend over your hips. Ideally, the jacket should end somewhere between the last rib and the sacrum. The coat does not need to extend to the tail, and we don’t want it to.
The top of the jacket…
The topline of the coat sits in front of the sacrum (The topline of the coat sits in front of the sacrum at the end of the tail and in front of the withers at the neck) at the end of the tail and in front of the withers at the neck.
Overlap of the sides and abdominal panels…
When the jacket is attached, there is an overlap between the sides and the belly panels. Any overlap is good. Longer dogs may have hair coming out, but as long as the panels overlap by about 2.5cm, it’s fine.
Around the neck…
The neck fits snugly but not too tightly at the base of the neck. If you can slide your hand comfortably inside, that’s good.
The belly panel…
The belly panel sits at the base of the ribs and does not go into the groin area or interfere with the male dog’s ability to pee.
